As the radiant red sun of the morning rises over the horizon I awake from my deep sleep. As the light puddles in from the great outdoors I take in this beautiful morning that is now upon me. Today is September 17th, 1862, which means today I go to Antietam Creek in hope of catching tonight’s supper. Although I live in Sharpsburg Maryland the creak is not far away from my house. I follow the usual morning schedule and set out with my reed pole that my father made for me, and worms I gathered last night. Stepping into the cool brisk air I can see a crisp frost for miles on end silently sitting on the blades of grass.
After I finally reach the crystal clear creek I cast my line into the water and wait for a bite from a fishing passing through. Although instead of a bite from a fish I see 60,000 Union Troops under the command of General George McClellan camouflaged into the fields and woods surrounding me. Realizing this I immediately become shocked and terrified, as I instantly freeze in my tracks. My task is now to figure out how to get out of this situation, without getting becoming tangled up between the North and the South. When I realize that I will have to run through the battle field that Robert E. Lee’s 30,000 are located in to get home safely, I decide to say low to the ground and as far away from the battle field as I can. Not a shot has been fired yet, but the electricity in the air is becoming more and more tense every minute that passes by. All of a sudden I see the Union cannons sending cannon balls at the confederate soldiers, which surprised the confederates more than the colonies gaining their independence from Great Britain.
In the midst of all fighting I saw a glimpse of General McClellan looking at General Lee’s battle plans that he had received from one of his scouts. Some of the tactics that these two generals were trying to pull off worked about as good as a three year old trying to blow up a church; they were bound for failure. The mistakes came in bunches and dead bodies were littered all over the battle field as well as in the woods. In gazing over the battle field every one in four soldiers were either dead or limping their way to somewhere they would be safe, screaming in pain. More of the men laying in pain and agony of the ground where Union soldiers, but the confederates has lost a bigger percentage of their men that my eyes could see.
As the deaths stack up and the fight moves closer and closer to the river I realize that I have to figure out a way to get out of here, or die. In my mind I become panicked and my adrenalin starts flowing through my body faster than river rapids on the Mississippi. The field would be impossible; through the woods would be hopeless. How am I going to escape… THE RIVER. Realizing this was like a 100 pound sack being lifted off my back. In the heat of battle I don’t have much time to react though. I don’t want to end up like one of the casualties that are on the battle field helplessly. Into the water I go and the water it is like ice on my bones, even though the light frost on the ground has melted away. To see that I am only half way across the river is very discouraging because my muscles are already starting to numb up and become stiff to the touch. Every inch I get closer shore it become more of a struggle to move my arms and legs, even minor movement sends chills down my spine. As my finger finally reaches hard ground I rip my clothes of, before they freeze around my scrawny 6 foot, 145 pound, and 13 year old body. Instantly I sprint home as if my hair was on fire. Nothing on my body is warm and as I slam the door open I sprint into my bedroom and jump on my bed, nearly killing myself because the straw is years old. All of a sudden my eyes shut and my breathes get slower and slower, as I fall into a deep sleep.

Reseach Paper
Watching the memorable Minnesota Vikings go to the playoff, is like seeing the New York Yankees win the pennant. You are witnessing another historic event, from one of the greatest dynasties in their respective sports. The Vikings have produced some of the most electrifying players and teams in NFL history dating back to 1960.
Starting off with the first teams ever to put on a purple and gold jersey, along with the founding father of the Vikings Max Winters, Max Winters was the first owner of the Minnesota Vikings and the former owner of the Minnesota Lakers, who are now the Los Angeles Lakes and have just won the NBA title. It wasn’t easy to get permission to start a team in the NFL and Max Winters knew all about that. He sent numerous requests to the commissioner of the league asking for the ability to make a team in Minnesota. Time after time Winters was rejected of his request and eventually he got the okay in 1961. After there was a team in Minnesota, the next job was finding a coach for the team, which didn’t come easy either. The man Winters wanted running the team, Bud Grant, declined the offer, which made him choose Norm Van Brocklin. It was a rough start for the Minnesota Vikings team: Having a rough couple of years in him time as the head man for the Vikings. Many of the seasons ended in only a few wins and almost all ended under a 500 record. Finally the early Vikings era was coming to an end when Max Winters brought in his first choice Bud Grant to coach the team and start a way of winning in Minnesota (Nelson).
Although the Vikings team started off rough, there was winning to come when the Purple People Eaters arrived in town during the late 1960 and early 1970s. Opposing offenses dreaded facing the terrorizing defense of the Vikings, with their run-stopping and sensational sacking ability, it was almost and un-fair match. Even if it looked to the opposing offense that they were going to score; The Vikings defense had different plans with their big play ability that seemed to come at the right moments. They had the big play ability to turn a game from a losing effort into a victory, with just a couple plays of the game. It wasn’t unusual to witness Alan Page tip a pass in the end zone and see one of the cornerback run back a interception for a touchdown, completely changing the story line of the game. Onto a couple of the star defensive players for the bone-chilling defense of one of the best teams in the league in the Vikings. One of the two studs up front on the d-line was Jim Marshal, a tremendous talent with a phenomenally quick first step and specialized in blowing plays up in the backfield. Rounding off the d-line was defensive tackle Alan Page and his explosive ability. Page was so fast that sometimes he would hit the running back in the backfield, before the quarterback even handed him the ball. If there was ever a loose ball Alan Page was usually “Johnny on the Spot”, once recovering six loose balls in a season in 1964 (Purple People Eaters).
“In the golden years”, the Vikings weren’t just a terrorizing defense; they also had one of the best quarterbacks of all time in Fran Tarkenton; who racked up points like it snowed in Decemberin Wisconsin. Starting off. Fran Tarkenton shattered records like the defensive line went through food during a team meeting. He was a two time pro-bowler in 1973 and 1975 and won the league’s most valuable player honors in 1975. Also the wasn’t the only highlight of Takenton’s exhilarating career with 47,003 passing yards and 342 touchdowns in his time with the Vikings and Giants. These were all NFL records for quarterbacks until Dan Marino and now Brett Favre came around. Onto Fran Tarkenton’s life; He was born February 3, 1940 in Richmond Virginia and was a very talented quarterback in high school. Out of high school Fran Tarkenton went to Tulane University and was the number one pick overall in the NFL draft to the Minnesota Vikings. While he was with the Vikings he helped lead the them to three super bowls, but unfortunately losing all of them. He also arguable led the most dangerous and dominate Minnesota Vikings team in history with a 15-1 record. Not to mention re-writing the record books by scoring 556 point in a single season, until the New England Patriots broke the record two years ago . Although that year they fell short of the super bowl by losing in the NFC championship game in overtime, it was still one to remember in sports history. Topping off Tarkenton’s historic career, he was inducted into the pro football hall of fame by unanimous vote (Info please).
Those team lead by Frank Tarkenton and his high powered offense where great, but the modern day Vikings are starting to bring back their winning ways. It always help to have the best player at their position in the league, and the Vikings have that in Adrian Peterson. Like Frank Takenton Adrian Peterson has already started to re-write the record books, already holding the record for the most rushing yard in a game by a singles player with 296 yards. After they run all over a team, they also have some great stars at wide receiver in Percy Harvin, a rookie out of Florida who has already become the quarterbacks favorite target. Their defense is also reliving the days of the “Purple People Eaters” , With three potential pro-bowlers up front in Pat and Kevin William and Jared Allan. Not to mention one of the hardest hitting corner backs in the league and maybe the best pound for pound player in the league in Antwan Winfield. They also have done something that no other team in the NFL has done by averaging 71 yards or less yards a game given up rushing for the past three seasons. Also every team in the NFL knows that when the play the Minnesota Vikings that they will have to bring there A game, because it won’t be a walk in the park (History).
While producing some of the most exciting electric teams and players in NFL history the Vikings have also dominated their divison in the procces. They are the team with the most exciting players. They are the team that is going to win the superbowl. They are the Minnestota Vikings.

War comparison
When looking comparing and contrasting the Civil War and the Revolutionary war you find many differences and similarities. One obvious difference between the two wars is that the Civil War was the north vs the south and the Revolutionary War was the colonies vs Great Britain. Another difference is that the Revolutionary War was two countries fighting each other, while the Civil War was two different men in one part of the country fight agents men the other part of the country. Onto that the Revolutionary War was when the colonies came together for one cause, freedom. While the Revolutionary War was a war when the colonies got divided into the north and the south fighting agents each other.
Although there are many differences between these two very important wars in our history, they are also very similar in their own ways. Beginning with that they were both battles for freedom. The Revolutionary War was the colonies trying to free themselves from Great Britain and the Civil war was the north trying to free slaves in the south. Another similarity is that both of the Wars took place on American Soil. Of course the Civil War did because it was a war between the South and the North and during the Revolutionary War was fought to kick the British off American soil. These are a few of the similarities and differences between the Revolutionary War and the Civil War in American history.

The Glass Bottle
Everything is just sitting around outside talking to each other, when all of a sudden someone yells, “Run”.
Everyone adrenalin starts rushing throughout their veins as we all start sprinting for the apartment. Looking behind we see three of our friends trailing us and babbling on about what just happened. Apparently someone threw a glass bottle over a ledge of a hill and it almost hit someone. Who randomly throws a glass bottle anyway? We all bolt into the hostess apartment room and gaze out the window at the man who one of my bonehead friends almost hit. The man was stalking the area looking for the person who threw almost shattered a piece of glass over his head. In the midst of all this one of our friends was still outside text as the man walked by and he started asking him questions. Being question our friend just started walking a different direction and didn’t say anything. When the man ventured off to where he came from, we immediately went back outside like nothing ever happened. This minor mishap didn’t turn out with any consequence, but there could have been many.

Bullying
Everyday that you step into the school that you are supposed to learn at there are people heckling an following you around, just to make you feel bad. Although this may seem farfetched to some it is very real in our world today. In fact 77% students in the United States are bullied in someone way. Coming to school every day for those who get the treatment daily can become traumatizing and could eventually lead to depression or ever worse; death. When getting bullied the victim is usually defenseless and has no place to go or person to relay on for help. If someone see’s bullying they should step in and stop the situation as soon as possible to the victim doesn’t suffer punishment more than they need to. Reaching to violence could be dangerous for both the bully and the victim because someone could seriously get damaged. It may seem unrealistic, but 100,000 kids in the U.S. bring guns to school every day because of bullying or intimidation. To have to bring a gun to school to feel safe is not how students in America should feel over any circumstance. bullying is a huge problem in our world today; bullying needs to be stopped; bullying is harmful to everyone involved. Bullying can traumatize students life’s and futures forever.

The Proslavery Defense
Some women are born unhealthy and some men are born to have failure in everything they do. How is the right way to look at things from any perspective. When men and women came over from Europe, they came to this country for freedom and the chance to move up in social class. How can someone be born for failure, when everyone that lives more than three seconds in the United States makes a mistake or has failure. It is not about if or how many times you make mistakes, it is about if you learn from them and improve from your mistakes. This is what gives you the chance to work your way up the social class chain, which allows you to become more wealthy. How would our world be today if everyone knew who was going to succeed at birth? There would be no “Cinderella Stories” or “underdogs” to root for. There would be no point of work or life to itself because everyone would know how they stood and nothing would be able to change. How can we in America call ourselves the land of free and the home of the brave if no one has a chance to better themselves. Starting with our founding fathers this country was born for success and so was everyone who inhabits it. In the end slavery was finally found to be wrong. In the end the United States abolished slavery. In the end only good things make it through the thick and the think.

Story With Dialog
“Why would you switch to the 200 meter dash, when that is the one event that I can actually win.”
“Because my four by one team is horrible and I can’t do the 100 meter because it is right after the hurdles. Why does it matter to you Trevor?”
“Because it is the one event that I am really good at and that I am not in with you.”
“I might not even be good at it anyways. I just wanted to try it to see how good I am at it.”
“Sure you did.”
Trevor walks away and no one says a word to him because they know that he is still furious with the idea of me do the one event that he wins every time. This is because I can beat him in the other two events that we do together. I walk over to Parker is starts talking to him about what is all going on.”I don’t get why Trevor is so mad at me. It’s not like I am trying to beat him in everything or anything like that.”
“Yeah, but that was the one event that he didn’t do with you and he could actually win.”
“It’s not like he still can’t win it. I might not even be that good at it. I am not good at long distance.”
“Yeah, but if you do beat him. He will be even more mad because every event that he does you would be doing. And in everyone one you would be better than him.”
“I guess… Hopefully he won’t be that mad at me. At least not for that long.”
“I hope you know that he is going to talk crap about you for this because that is the kind guy he is. When he doesn’t get what he wants he is a big baby about it.”
“Yeah… I will deal with it. It’s not like he has anything agents me or anything. A lot of people doesn’t like him anyways.”
There is a long silence between the two because neither of them know what to talk about. They just decide to lay off the situation and go play some basketball.
“I’ve learned one thing today that I’ve got out of this whole things.”
“What is that?”
“Some people over react over little siutaions.”
The two walk away and laugh.

Swimming race
It comes down to the final ten meters at the end of the race to see who will win the Olympic crown. No one speaks a word, there isn’t even cheering. Electricity floods the atmosphere, as it is the one things that is keeping my skinny swimmer body going. Every split second and every millimeter left in the race could be the very birth place of my tragic fall. Gazing into the crowd I can see the frantic fans, just waiting to welcome a new champion in a profound few. Chlorinating the white waters is the smell of sweat from swimmers on my right and left, but only one person on my right has what it takes to beat me in these last ten meters. Winning this race would be like being born again, I would have a new beginning and everyone would love me. To be the underdog is always hard, but to be the underdog and to handle adversity is near impossible for a normal swimmer. My capabilities are beyond anyone else though, even if no one else knows it, but me. Now inches away from a photo finish and from being on top of the world. When hitting the touch-pad I can taste my victory as I have done the impossible and beat the all mighty Brit. Suddenly as I look at the times is see that I have lost by a hundredth of a second. All colors turn to gray and everything including the cheers in the crowd are now the sounds failure as I now sulk in disbelief. Loosing has never come easy; loosing is the single most depressing thing in me like. Losing has never come easy; Loosing this race defines me and all the stereotypes around me.

God Father Death
Thoughts fill your now bulging mind with endless possibilities. Then instantly the tables turn, which causes your future and dreams to plummet downward and dissolve into thin air. This is what happens to the main character in a simply perfect short story “God Father Death”, by Jakob and William Grimm. In the Grimm brothers exemplary irony there are specific symbols that give cause for the readers eyes to be glued to the pages below.
While venturing into the depths of this perfect piece it becomes apparent that it is a clear-cut irony. Beginning this text the reader realizes the father’s life is in complete confusion and chaos. To have five or six children is more than enough for most of mankind and this father is suddenly stunned with thirteen little devils running around. In lurking further the reader realizes the son’s struggle, when it becomes apparent to him that only a little bit of his already little life was still remaining. Death afflicts the son’s life when all light goes dim and only his sulking soul remains as he vanishes into the skies. Adding to the powerful plotline of an irony is that the son is not in control of the events that are occurring to him. This is because he did not choose his surprising sponsor of death, nor did he choose to receive his almighty herb like a gifted athlete receives his abilities. With no control there is no power and this holds true to this story because it is a traumatizing nightmare version of the world. No one is safe from the plague like sickness and only the gifted one with the herb can save everyone.
Symbolism slices through the pages like a hot knife through butter in the Grimm brothers thought-provoking irony. In this text the carefully condemned candles bring reality to the eagle eye of the son. While gazing into the frolicking flames he suddenly realizes all his shortcomings and failures in life. At one point he was thought to be unflappable, but he broke down and crumbled right before his godfather’s eyes, because of his shortened life. Representing temptation and power to the son is the life changing herb that only the son could get his holy hands on. To disobey someone once does not result in the diminishing of a friendship, but repeating the act is disrespectful and consequences are always right around the corner. This occurs to the son because the second time he broke a promise to his godfather, consequences lurked in the near future, death. When candles flicker in this sought after story it stands for fear and terror. Flickering candles show this because in seeing the flickering, the son’s blood runs cold and his bones tremble in disbelief of what is soon to happen to him.
When symbolism seep outs of pages in an irony the plot is usually gruesome. Not only does the Grimm brother’s masterpiece not have vivid details of death, but it has lessons that should be exemplified by any good person. Never take an unfair advantage; never be dishonest. Never expect a second chance; never forget that you will have to live with your past and always look forward to the unclear.

The final field goal
It is now fourth down and I am getting lined up for a field goal to win the Super Bowl. One tick remains on the clock and the only thing keeping me going is the adrenaline rushing through my vast veins. Everything rests on my single shoulders. The kicker is someone who doesn’t get any fame or any recondition for what they bring to the table; this is my shot to show the world who I am and see my name flood all the news papers in the country. I line up as my bones tremble in fear thinking about what would happen if I miss. No, I am going to make it. The smell of the wet grass and mood covers me along with a tint of wet dog tossed in. You can hear a pin drop in the stadium, with everyone’s eyes focused on my scrawny little kicker body. Tasting the alcohol run down my throat would be the ultimate goal that I have desired and worked for my whole carrier. When the snap hits the holders hand is goes right to the ground; perfect. I carefully creep forward as my shadow lurks over the piece of pig skin that makes the game keep going. To the ball my foot heads and as I hit the sweat spot of the ball it soars through the air like a jet through the atmosphere. As the ball hits the mesh between the now beaming goalpost my dream has been captured. Sobbing as though my mother died I collapse to the ground in joy as my teammates storm the field. Perfection has occurred as planned from the snap, to the ball through the uprights. The electric atmosphere makes my legs tremble with enthusiasm and I am now on top of the world. I can see tomorrow’s New York Times. “Never doubt the real field fairy.” I can feel the wet field under my boney body, which is now the body of a superstar. I can taste victory in the air. I have now won the game I have dreamed of since I was little.

The 9th hole
Matt and Parker both scored three’s on the horrifying and dreadful 9th hole. Adrenalin in my blood is going crazy as I get ready for the most meanigful putt of my life. Calming down is impossible with when my hands are filled with pools of sweat and there is an annoying buzzing noise going on in my head. To hear the annoying buzzing sound in one’s head might dismantle ones concentrations, but I am in a zone that is beyond everyone else. Not even the smell of the overly cooked hotdogs in the old run down club house can break through my focus; the smell leaves a stinging feeling in my nostrils as if passes through. My putter is slowly creeping its way towards the bright florescent pink ball with a white chip from dropping it on the pavement. Rolling slower and slower the ball inches it’s way to the hypnotizing hole with a half inch of water in it from the night showers. Worries flood my skull as I dreadfully picture the ball stopping millimeters short of the hole. I close my eyes so I don’t have to bear the sight; I hear a “Clunk”. When I raise my head cautiously the ball in no longer on the green turf, but silently sitting at its perch inside the hideous hole! The hot dogs in the club house are now the smell of victory and I can now taste the scrumptious ice cream that I am going to receive because of my victory. To see Matt and Parker weeping in disgust on the ground is priceless. Right now I feel like I can take on the world without thinking about it twice. The only aspect that Matt and Parker can take out of this is to never, never underestimate your opponents. Although I can take out bragging right and to never second guess what I can do.

The Jilting of Granny Weatherall
Every time you recollect a moment that occurred in your life a ball of furry rises urgently in your skull. When you hear the name your bones tremble in madness and you feel as though you got cheated out of life. This is what Granny Weatherall goes through in the simply perfect short story “The Jilting of Granny Weatherall by Katherine Anne Porter. When gazing into Katherine Anne Porter’s tremendous tragedy, the reader is flooded with meaningful symbolism.
When lurking into the depths of Katherine Anne Porter’s text it becomes known that a clear-cut tragedy is lying in front of your eyes. Starting this masterpiece the conflict becomes immediately apparent to the mind that Granny Weatheral has become afflicted with illness. She does not actually listen to the doctor and even denies his suggestions, which would be offensive to most. Everything seems to be going picture perfect when all those younger than her obey her command. Every time she tells someone to do something, they do it like when she wants them to “Pick all the fruit this year and see that nothing is wasted.” In power there is flaws, like the government of the U.S. and this hold true to Granny Weatherall because she can’t stop remembering the horrifying day that she was abandoned like a homeless child at the altar. The thoughts going threw her mind are gruesome and ones that children could not bear. To blame a few events on someone else is one aspect, but blaming everything is another. With a flaw there is a fall and Granny Weatherall goes insane like a mom getting ready for special guests; everything has to be perfect. She plummets like a free-faller off the Empire State Building when she is venting to herself about all her horrible happenings. Finally death occurs at the end when Granny Weatherall descends into the sky and will never step foot on earth’s beautiful surface again; death.
Symbolism seems to seep out of the pages in Katherine Anne Porter’s tragedy like water out of a cracked glass in this astonishing short story. When Granny Weatherall walks between the wall of the church it symbolizes as a sanctuary of her sins. This is because when opening her heart and mind in church she realizes all the sinful acts she has brought upon herself. In blaming everyone else for getting left at the altar she realizes that it was her fault because it was her flaws, not others. To get away from life and blaming others Granny Weatherall lays her head into the powerful pillow. As the pillow rises she ventures further and further from the outside world and its devil like flaws. She lays her head down whenever she just needs to break away from everything else. When “Lighting the lamps” Granny Weatherall realizes all the beautiful joy that exists in the atmosphere, like a bookworm in a library. Realizing this occurs because she realizes all the children and the joy that they can bring to the world and everything in it.
Porter’s tragedy flooded with symbolism may seem pointless at first pass by an adequate reader, but when reading into the depths of the symbolism Porter’s work a lesson becomes present in the mind of all. Which is, enjoy life while you can and cherish every moment . As an un-know author once said “Watch your thoughts, for they become words. Watch your words, for they become actions. Watch your actions, for they become habits. Watch your habits, for they become character. Watch your character, for it becomes your destiny.”

The Wisconsin Dells Mini Golf
“3, 2, 1.” The crowd counts down as we have just won the championship in the “Jimmy V Classic,” in the Wisconsin Dells. Our whole team is overwhelmed with emotion and joy and you would think that we just won the state championship. As we file out of the gym one by one with smiles from ear to ear; we all decide that a celebration is needed. People blurt out idiotic ideas and we converse and decide that we are going to go mini golfing at “Pirates Cover Mini Golf” in the Wisconsin Dells.
We all arrive as a group and get a one dollar discount because there are so many of us. This is when the brutal beat down game of mini golf started. From the beginning you knew that the game was not going to turn into a nice friendly game because the first things that we all did was put in a five dollar per person bet on the game. Starting off the nine hole course was what was supposed to be, a hole that even adequate golfer could conquer. Although the first hole was like a crash course gone wrong from everyone in our group because we were cracking out fours and fives with great disappointment. To the next hole we went and the heated battle started, when Parker hit a hole and one, which turned him into his usual self dancing and bragging towards the next hole. Giving people hard times was what Parker did and people right away where getting angry with his tactics and someone took a swing at him with their putter. Onto the tunnel hole we went, where you had to hit the ball around a rough rock and in a hole that lurked in the distance. Everyone got about the same scores and the people behind us started giving us devil like scowls that could burn through rubber because we were taking too long. After the cave hole we ventured to the hill hole, where you had to hit a ball at just the right speed and get it to rocket of the brick in the hardly visible vicinity where the hole calmly sat.
Although the first few holes where important, the last few almost started a ruthless riot between players that could have been disasters. The fiasco started on the eighth hole when Trevor and Bennett were clearly out of the running and the people who were still in contention where treacherously taunting them every chance they got. Right after Parker got a two and Trevor got a four the flood of criticism came and Trevor took a swing with his golf club trying to take off Parkers head, like trying to hit a home run in baseball. Of course Parker ducked and the putter went right into the kidney of a hippo that just happened to be standing right behind him. Down, Down, Down went the hippo and everyone around us heard the bang of the hippo hitting the now punctured pavement. Next was the final hole, which was the hole on the course that stuck out like a sore thumb. It was clearly the hardest hole on the course from its tunnel that the ball must go through, to the bunkers that flooded the edges. One mistake and you would get penalized with a two stroke water hazard. Matt was trailing Parker by one for the lead, along with feeling the pressure of having to go last with astronomical pressure building up each stroke. Parker went first because he was the leader and hit the ball safely though the tunnel without it going into a bunker. Finishing off the hole with a score of four, which wasn’t bad compared to some of the sixes and sevens of the other people, He felt very confident in his chances. Matt was being heckled by Parker and now had to put his money where his mouth was and receive a two to win or a three to tie. His first stroke was about the same as Parkers, which left him with a horrible lye because he was setup with the decision to go for the tie or win. Of course he went for the win, which meant that he had to try and hit the ball through the water or get the ball to curve somehow; both options seemed nearly impossible. He lined up to take his shot, and surprising everyone he skipped the ball over the water and it slowly rolled its way towards the hole. Parker started jumping up and down with excitement as the ball came to a halt nearly millimeters from the hole. Everyone was in shock when Parkers motion into the ground effected the ball just enough to trickle its way into the cup as if it was meant to be there. Joy overwhelmed everyone that witnesses the spectacular scene, but Parker.
This was clearly a crazy day of mini golf from the last second shot to the crying of Parker after he lost. Just remember that next time you go mini golfing that anything is possible and don’t get too excited while mini golfing.

Tell-Tale Heart
Every time you see someone your blood turns cold and sweat fills your hands. The sight of the person sends chills down your sweaty spine. You can’t stand the bone-chilling vulture eye of someone you see every day. In the memorable short story “The Tell-Tall Heart” , by Edgar Allen Poe this is what the main character goes through. Time simpley seems to come to a stop when you lurk into the depths of Edgar Allen Poe’s mind-blowing symbolism, which lies inside a picture perfect tragedy.
Reading Edgar Allen Poe’s masterpiece of a tragedy is like hitting a home run in baseball; perfect. In the beginning of the story the main characters world is in a confusing conflict because he is traumatized by the skin piercing gaze of the old man’s eye. When the main character is silently stalking the elderly man and then cautiously kills him he feels like his power is untouchable. This is because he thinks he has nothing to worry about and he even lets the police men sit down and talk over the three boards where the very conscious of the dead body silently sat. To keep the wheel going the flaw in the character's world occurs when he hears the hideous old man’s heartbeat. After the pounding beat picked up the main character went insane and felt the consequences of his action when he said “I could bear those hypocritical smiles no longer!” He shows in this quote that the heartbeat made it impossible for him to not show his urge to leave, like a three year old in a nursing home. No longer could he bear the noise of the pounding heart and see the police men not show any knowing of the happenings. Falling into despair, he confesses to the crime that he committed and shows the very point where the old man lay. The main character gives in and plummets downward faster than a brick off a ten story building, when he finally confesses. Symbolism of death finally occurs after the main character confessed and gets thrown into jail for his actions.
In a tragedy there is usually simple symbolism, but “The Tell-Tall Heart” is flooded with thought provoking symbolism. Starting with that the terror filled vulture eye symbolizes death and evil because the eye was the single aspect that led him into craziness. Also the heartbeat of the old man’s heart is a clear symbolism of karma and guilt. When he heard the heartbeat he finally came to recollect the significance of his action and realizes karma along with guilt for having to tell someone face to face his actions. Using the lantern to look at the old man makes him realize reasoning and does not kill the man because he cannot see the man’s eye that haunts him day and night. Without the light the old man would’ve killed the man without thinking and seeing the reasoning that the light brought him and his decisions. To go on the black shadow of the man in the light represents the bad side of the man because when you can see his shadow he is carefully waiting for the right moment to attack the old man.
Poe’s symbolic tragedy is full of lessons that will last lifetimes, but there is one real lesson that Poe wants the readers to realize. Which is, think before you act and make sure that you can live with the guilt and despair of your actions. It is like taking a piece of steak that is too big to handle. You will eventually choke and pay for your actions.
